Bookings

No, we do not take any bookings when there is an event on at the MCG or M&OP Precinct, including all AFL games. On these days, it is strictly walk-ins only.
For the AFL Opening Round and Gather Round, we take bookings only in the Dining Room, even though there are no games on at the MCG.

Yes, we take bookings for later the day of, if we have availability—we just can’t accept them via our online system. Just give us a call to make your same-day booking.

Groups of 10 or more people require a card pre-authorisation to secure your booking. This will not take any funds from your account, and it will be released as long as you attend your booking.
Groups of 30 or more (contact us to book) require a deposit to secure your booking. This can either be refunded to your original form of payment or put towards a bar tab, whichever you prefer. Refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account.
If a large percentage of your group does not show up, and you do not notify us in advance, we may charge a partial fee proportional to the amount of no-shows. If you do not attend your booking at all, and do not notify us in advance, we will charge a no-show a fee.

We take regular bookings in our Dining Room & Lounge and in our Courtyard.
Large groups who have booked in the Courtyard may be moved to our back Beer Garden area to allow for more standing room, unless low tables have been requested.
For functions, we also offer bookings in either of our private rooms located on the first floor of our venue.

Please inform us of any changes as soon as possible so that we can best accommodate your group. Please note that if you arrive with fewer guests than originally booked, we may retain your deposit. If you come with more guests than booked, we cannot guarantee that there will be enough adequate available space.

We allow a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. If you are running later than 15 minutes, please call us to let us know. Unfortunately, if we don't hear from you, we can no longer guarantee your table.

Lunch bookings may have their table until 4:00PM. After this time, you may remain in the venue, but you might be asked to move to a different area if there is another booking on that table for dinner.
Dinner bookings are welcome to stay on their tables until close.

We cater to a wide variety of events, including birthdays, corporate gatherings, and more. Please reach out to our events team by filling out the form on our Functions page for more information.
We do not, however, accept Bucks or Hens parties. If your group arrives and is a Bucks or Hens party, even if you had made a booking in advance, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the venue without refund of your deposit (if applicable).
We also do not allow costumes in our venue.

We are closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years’ Eve, New Years’ Day, and Good Friday. We are open every other day of the year unless stated otherwise.
Visiting Us

There is limited street parking available near the venue.
If possible, we recommend taking public transport. We are within walking distance (500m) of Richmond Station, as well as stops along tram lines 48, 70, 75, and 78.

Yes, we are wheelchair-accessible. Please note that the only available parking is street parking.

Absolutely! We welcome families and offer high chairs upon request. However, for safety reasons, we kindly ask parents to supervise their children, as our staff are often carrying food and drinks and the space can be very busy.

We have a limited amount of high chairs, so please request one in advance when making your booking if you require one.

Due to health regulations, we do not allow dogs (except service dogs) anywhere inside the venue, including the Courtyard & Beer Garden. However, you are welcome to sit with your dog at our tables on the footpath outside the pub.

Yes, we have a designated smoking area in the back of our outdoor space. Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere else in the venue.
Please note that the smoking area is closed when the food truck is operating, but you can smoke on the footpaths outside the venue.

We broadcast all major sports events, including Footy, Cricket, Racing, Rugby, the Australian Open, the Super Bowl, and more. We don’t show UFC fights. Refer to our “Live Sport” page for a more detailed schedule of events.

Yes, we accept cash.

We do table service in our Dining Room & Lounge. For all other areas of the venue, come up to the bar or food window (with your table number ready!) to order.
The entire venue (including the Dining Room & Lounge) are counter-service only on game days.

Due to health and safety reasons, we are unable to offer takeaway containers for leftovers. We kindly ask that you fully enjoy your meal here with us.
